Lethal hitting LB gets first offer

Three-star linebacker Reggie Carter (6-1, 225, 4.6) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw is off to a great start. He and his Cougar teammates are 4-1. Crenshaw’s only loss came at the hands of talented Compton (Calif.) Dominguez.
Carter is rapidly getting the reputation that when you enter his tackling zone, you enter the house of pain. He is a lethal hitter.

Carter is playing at the same high level that he did as a junior when he was selected all-city and all-league after racking up 130 tackles, 22 sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery from his middle linebacker spot.
Carter is a great blitzer for a Mike backer. How many middle linebackers do you who accounted for 22 sacks? He is just as good as a run stopper.
In five games as a senior Carter has racked up over 50 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.
Last summer Carter attended the Beyond 2000 Elite Camp (B2G) and camp co-founder Henry Bell had this to say about the talented Mr. Carter.
“Reggie has a complete mean streak,” Bell said. “When he’s on the field he reminds of former Chicago Bear great Michael Singletary.
“Reggie is ferocious on the field, but off of it he is wearing his glasses and is very studious. He made plays the entire time he was at the camp. The tight ends re-routed their routes to avoid getting Reggie’s area.”
This week Carter and his Cougar teammates will take on Los Angeles (Calif.) Fremont.
On the recruiting front, Carter has picked up his first offer from San Diego State. He received phone calls from UCLA, Fresno State, San Diego State and Utah. Fresno State has talked about visits.
