Leonard has a leader, holds four offers

The recruiting process continues to heat up for Longview, Texas wide receiver Dorian Leonard. Offers, potential offers, and recruiting attention is mounting with two new BCS offers coming in over the last few weeks to bring his count to four.
"It's going good. I got two more offers from Florida State and Oregon State," Leonard said. "Florida State came two weeks ago and then about a week after that Oregon State offered me."

Leonard now counts offers from Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Florida State, and Oregon State, and one more could be joining the mix very soon.
"Next weekend, with the Texas Relays, I might go down there to Texas for their spring game," Leonard said. "I've been talking to them. They're saying like as soon as I get down there they're going to offer me."
Other than the possible visit to Texas, Leonard does not have any other potential visits on his schedule; however, he does have a few schools standing out when it comes to the recruiting process.
"At first my No. 1 was Oklahoma but it's getting tight. Texas Tech is getting up there," Leonard said. "Oklahoma, right now, is still No. 1, but Texas Tech is right there."
The standout receiver has been able to visit Oklahoma, and saw a few things that currently put the Sooners at the top of his list.
"It was the type of offense they run and how they have three or four receivers on the field at one time showing I might get a little playing time," Leonard said. "Then they have 10 hours of study hall during every week and I like that a lot."
He has yet to make it out to Texas Tech, but the Red Raiders have very much been on his mind.
"We've been talking a lot about the school and stuff like that," Leonard said. "They say they want me to come down there. They've been saying a lot of good things that have caught my attention about the school and one of our Longview players is up there."
A trip to Lubbock is not currently on the schedule, but it is something Leonard would like to do at some point. He does plan to attend Texas Tech's camp when it comes to Longview this summer.
When it comes to a decision, Leonard plans to take his time, but he does have an idea about when he would like to make an announcement.
"It's going to probably be sometime next year," Leonard said. "It will probably be like in the middle or after the season."
