Lenoir holding off

It's no secret that Deommodore Lenoir holds UCLA in high regard, even pegging the Bruins as the leaders, but he is in no rush to announce a decision.

The four-star cornerback from Los Angeles Salesian has UCLA at No. 1 thanks to a solid relationship with defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin plus what he has seen from the Bruins in recent years.
Lenoir, though, said he is holding off on a pledge as he continues to assess all options in order to make an informed decision. He camped with USC in the summer and, though the Trojans didn't offer, he's been building contact with that staff.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Expect Lenoir to be a frequent visitor at the Rose Bowl this fall as he looks to continue his steady bond with the coaches, as well as teammate Rahyme Johnson, who is already committed to the Bruins. Other visits could also be in the works but nothing has been scheduled.
IN HIS WORDS: "I know (a commitment) is going to happen soon, but I don't know how soon," Lenoir told Rivals.com. "Probably sometime next year."
RIVALS' REACTION: Lenoir could only be waiting to build suspense, though he mentioned that he has been paying attention to several other programs early this season including Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon State and Vanderbilt. But until he backs off the UCLA talk, it's hard to envision him landing anywhere else. Martin has done a good job recruiting him, especially after losing out on 2017 four-star corner Thomas Graham to USC and other Salesian prospects in previous cycles.
