Lenoir has surprising news

UCLA has been considered the favorite for 2017 four-star cornerback Deommodore Lenoir but that might no longer be the case even though one of his Los Angeles Salesian teammates, Rahyme Johnson, is committed to the Bruins. Lenoir said this past weekend that Washington, Indiana, Arizona State, Oklahoma and Utah now lead his recruitment.

WHAT'S NEXT?: The revelation that the Bruins are no longer the leader in his recruitment is quite surprising but sources say Lenoir is still interested in UCLA and is probably leaning toward staying closer to home. It is an interesting and varied list of schools listed by Lenoir so the scenario that might have to play out is a wait-and-see approach to figure out if the 2017 four-star takes visits to those programs or what happens next. He was once again at UCLA this past weekend for its game against the Sun Devils.
IN HIS WORDS: "I wasn't able to get in the locker room because they were only letting commits in," Lenoir said of his UCLA visit. "UCLA is a very strong team. It was great to see both schools face off. I liked ASU's defense, they left no doubts."
RIVALS' REACTION: With Johnson committed to the Bruins and UCLA being one of the local schools, it only makes sense that Lenoir would be high on the Pac-12 power. But he's saying now that others have emerged so over the next few months it will be important to see if he takes trips to those schools or if something else could be going on with his recruitment to the Bruins.
