Leniu favors two conferences

Chandler Leniu has had an outstanding off-season and two Pac-12 schools have recently gotten more involved, piquing the interest of the Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco linebacker.
"I've been hearing from Cal and Stanford," Leniu said. "Those are the schools I've mainly been hearing from so everything in the recruiting process is going well right now."

Neither the Golden Bears nor the Cardinal has offered yet but Leniu is hopeful if things go well early in his senior season then they could get more serious.
If Cal or Stanford offers - or if they both come through with an offer - it would mean a lot since Leniu's family would prefer if he stays closer to home.
"They want to see my upcoming season and then they'll decide if they're going to pull the trigger or not," Leniu said.
"That would be big to me and my family. My family wants me to stay in the Pac-12 so that would be a great opportunity."
If those offers don't come through, the 6-foot, 225-pound inside linebacker who shined at the RCS Los Angeles this spring said he'll probably head to the Big 12.
Two teams especially look good.
"If they don't offer I'd probably be looking in the Big 12," Leniu said. "Kansas or TCU stand out most.
"I like their coaching staffs and they both have good programs and they're both elite schools in the Big 12. I'd really like to play there."
So far, the St. John Bosco linebacker has been offered by Fresno State, Iowa State, Kansas, Nevada, San Jose State, TCU and Washington State.
