Lemonier sets first official visit

When it comes to defensive end prospects Corey Lemonier is one of the most coveted prospects in America in the Class of 2010. Lemonier, now 6-4.5 and 231 pounds, is a Rivals100 member from Hialeah, Florida. For Lemonier, he had a productive summer on the recruiting front. He camped at some schools and visited some others.
Still, he says he's no closer to a decision than he was back in June. Over the summer Lemonier camped at Auburn and Florida while he unofficially visited New Mexico and Florida State. What did he take away from those four schools?

"The Auburn camp was great," Lemonier said. "I really liked the coaching staff. I went to Friday Night Lights and it was great to work with coach (Dan) McCarney.
"After the Florida camp I visited Florida State. I like those coaches, especially coach (Chuck) Amato. He's a good recruiter."
"I went to visit New Mexico and I like them a lot. It was the first time I met with coach (Mike) Locksley. I like him a lot and that's a school where I can play early.
There is much speculation that Lemonier could follow a former teammate (Corey Liuget) to Champaign and sign with Illinois. What goes he say about those rumors?
"I like Illinois a lot. I talk with Corey about it and he would love for me to come up there. He really likes it. I like coach (Ron) Zook and I like the defensive line coach (Keith Gilmore). Illinois is right up there."
Another team right up there is Miami. Although he didn't visit the Hurricanes this summer the 'Canes are still one of the teams to beat.
"I didn't get a chance to visit them this summer but I did in the spring. And I know I will see them this fall. It's not a big deal because they are only 20 minutes away."
Who else will Lemonier try and see this season? Who will his officially visit?
"Right now I will visit FSU for an official when they play Miami. Other teams I am considering are Auburn, Illinois, Florida, Miami, New Mexico and others. Right now I am just trying to plan everything and I am completely open.
"I want to see who recruits me the hardest and go from there. I have no decision day. I will make my decision whenever I am ready."
