Leitao finds a home in Nebraska

Reese Leitao

Jenks (Okla.) tight end Reese Leitao is a Husker. The 6-foot-4 and 236-pound Leitao chose Nebraska over offers from Maryland, Penn State and Oklahoma State who made up his final four along with Nebraska. Leitao plays both ways for Jenks and is being recruited by Nebraska to play the tight end position.

Leitao has visited Nebraska before. The three-star recruit was in Lincoln, Neb. for Big Red Weekend and also a camp. Leitao told Rivals that he's unsure when he will be back in Lincoln for a visit, but Husker fans may not have to wait too long to find Leitao on the visitor list.

"I'm hoping to visit early September for a game possibly against Oregon," Leitao said. "I'm looking forward to seeing all of the coaches again because they're all about family and I want to have a little more one on one time with coach Tavita Thompson."

Leitao had previously stated that he was looking for a school that would better him both on and off the football field. Leitao is commitment No. 14 for the Huskers. He is joined by Austin Allen from Aurora (Neb.) as the second tight end in the class.
