Leifheit cuts it to three

Four-star offensive tackle T.J. Leifheit continues to dwindle his list. The latest cut for the Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard prospect is to three schools. Who is still in the race for the No. 9 prospect in North Carolina?
"I cut it to Southern Cal, North Carolina and Tennessee," he said. "The biggest thing with those schools is the relationships that I have with the coaches."

Leifheit got specific about what he selected the Trojans, Tar Heels and Volunteers.
Tennessee: "I like their coaches a lot and I love their drive to win. Also, the game day atmosphere there is awesome."
North Carolina: "I have a great relationship with Coach Pittman. I have three former teammates up there."
Southern Cal: "They are one of the top schools in the country and they put a lot of players in the pros. Coach Ruel was telling me that every scholarship lineman they have had there since he has been there has played in the NFL."
Leifheit has already taken one official to Tennessee and has a visit to North Carolina next week on October 9th. Is there a trip coming to Southern Cal?
"I haven't set anything up yet, but I am in the process."
Meanwhile, when is a decision expected?
"I am shooting for the end of October."
