Lees phone rings twice

Two big phone calls started off the May contact period for Brenham, Texas quarterback Jarrett Lee.
With coaches allowed to make one call, two head coaches made first day contact with the 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal caller who has offers seemingly from all over. They were definitely familiar voices to the talented Lee.

"Yes sir, I talked to coach Bill Callahan from Nebraska and Les Miles from LSU tonight," Lee said about his first two phone calls. "They were just telling me that it was the first night to call and they were really excited to come down and watch me in the spring."
Though Lee says that both coaches are different, the phone calls were basically the same in content.
"Like I said, they just really were talking about the spring with me and that they wanted to see me," he said. "Then we got to talk a little bit about how each team's spring went and stuff like that.
"Those are the only ones that have called though so far."
Lee still is not naming favorites, but is not going to waste any time with a decision.
"It's all even right now," Lee said. "I mean LSU, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Texas Tech are recruiting me the hardest right now. I wish I could say that somebody is closer, but I just can't. I'm visiting schools and taking it all in.
"Hopefully by summer I'll have a decision made. It will definitely be done before the season starts this summer."
As for more phone calls, Lee says he's prepared.
"I've got the phone right by me," he said. "I'm ready."
