Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central linebacker Brandon Lee had been scheduled to make an official visit to Northwestern this weekend, but instead ended up down at Louisville for their game on Saturday.
"I just went on an unofficial" Lee said. "Once I found out I wasn't going to Northwestern, I kind of wanted to make (the Louisville visit) an official, but it wasn't too good of a game so I wouldn't have wanted to officially visit for that game."
Lee does not currently have an official visit scheduled to Louisville, and may not be able to take one. He plans to make his decision in early November and the Cardinal's schedule does not mesh well with Lee's over the coming weekends.
Saturday's visit, then, could have been the last to Louisville before the three-star linebacker makes his college selection, but Lee did not put a lot of emphasis on this particular visit affecting his view of the Louisville program.
"I didn't look for much," he said. "I have seen everything from the coaches, but I saw them in action coaching on the field, finally, this weekend. It was a blowout of a game, but I don't think any differently of Louisville than I did before - I still like the school a lot and I still put them in my top five."
The next scheduled official visit for Lee is to Virginia Tech the weekend of Oct. 25, but he is looking at a couple potential official visit destinations before then.
"I possibly will be making it to Penn State for the Michigan game (Oct. 12)," Lee said. "I'm working on scheduling one to Oregon too. I was going to try to go this upcoming weekend, but that is not going to pan out well because of how late it is. We are working on another game, and they said possibly the UCLA game."
With Louisville, Penn State, UCLA and Virginia Tech all potential official visits destinations, Lee's recruitment is still hotly contested. Cal was the first school to host him for an official visit, and Northwestern is not out of the running despite this past weekend's official visit being cancelled.
"They are still in it, I am just going to have to look at the rest of their schedule again so I can possibly reschedule," Lee said. "I haven't looked at their schedule since I first scheduled my visit there."
Lee will graduate high school in December and enroll in college next January. He has a target date of Nov. 8 for making his commitment.
