Lee earns offer No. 10

When a South Florida assistant stopped by his school Monday, it was the first time Daphne (Ala.) junior defensive end Eric Lee had gotten any face-to-face time with someone from that program.
"They'd been sending mail for like two months," Lee said.

The Bulls did far more than that Monday.
According to the 6-foot-3, 226-pound Lee, USF extended a verbal offer.
"I met the defensive line coach today and I liked him," Lee said. "He told me they're real focused on academics. I'm interested in them. And they have my major, too. I don't know too much about them but I hear they have a great program. He told me their whole staff has so much talent coaching wise."
For Lee, that was offer No. 10.
Florida International, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Missouri, Southern Miss, Troy, Tulane and Western Kentucky also have pulled the trigger. Lee has been unable to narrow things down, largely because he keeps getting new offers.
"Once I got an offer from Kentucky, a few other schools started coming in," Lee said. "I guess that kind of triggered it."
Location will play a major role in his decision-making process.
"I'm kind of looking to stay close to home," Lee said. "Staying home is kind of big for me. Anything in Florida is pretty close to me. South Florida is up there. Louisiana Tech, Tulane … even Kentucky. Even though it's pretty far up there, it's closer than like Missouri."
