Leader In Chase For Chase

Fairfax (Va.) Robinson wide receiver/defensive back Chase Anastacio feels a leader for his services is emerging. However, the lead is very small.
"Virginia is recruiting me the hardest so they have a slight advantage," said the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder. "I'm being recruited by Al Golden there and academics are very important so it's a good fit. They seem to want me more than anyone else right now."

The Cavaliers are recruiting Anastacio as a wide receiver while most other schools want him as a d-back or say he can choose.
"That really isn't a factor though," he said. "I don't care what position I play really."
Anastacio isn't sure when he'll take his official visit to Virginia, but he has already set up two others.
"I'm going to Notre Dame on Dec. 6 and to Stanford on Dec. 20," he said. "Virginia will probably be in January and be my last visit. I'd like to take all five trips and I'm considering Ohio State, Penn State and Virginia Tech for the last two."
In only three games this season, Anastacio has 450 total yards and seven touchdowns. On defense he has one interception.
"I'll decide in late January," he said. "I hope to have my visits all set by the end of the month."
