Leader for Lynch

MORE: Higby's recruiting heating up
Troup (Texas) 2015 quarterback Blake Lynch did not hit the camp circuit too much as he focused on preparing for the 2013 season, but he did make one trip.

"I didn't go to many camps. I just went to the Baylor camp in Waco," Lynch said.
Heading into the camp, Baylor was already high on Lynch's list, and the trip to Waco certainly did nothing to hinder the Bears chances of seeing him in the green and gold.
"I liked it a lot. I visited around and it was probably my favorite," Lynch said.
Lynch worked out at quarterback and receiver while in Waco, and there were a few aspects of the camp and visit experience stood out to the East Texas standout.
"The new stadium they're building I liked a lot," Lynch said. "They've got a new weight room and everything. I loved it."
As of Late June, Baylor and Mississippi State were at the top of Lynch's list, but he does have a leader now.
"Baylor's at the top," Lynch said. "It's just close to home and it's a good education and the offense they run really fits me well. I feel like I can make plays in it."
Mississippi State current comes in at the No. 2 spot, and he has also received interest from Arkansas, Texas, and Cal. As the season approaches, he has not scheduled any unofficial visits, but he does have a few in mind.
"I might go to the California/Northwestern game at California," Lynch said. "I want to make it out to A&M because my mom went there and I like it a lot."
With a leader is there any thought of a decision?
"Definitely before my senior season," Lynch said.
His focus is currently on the 2013 season, and he has some big goals for himself and his teammates.
"I want to go to state and this year I want to get some more passing yards," Lynch said. "Last year I had about 2,000 and I want to get 3,000 and like 1,000 rushing yards. My team, I have great supporters who help me out a lot. I give them the ball and they make plays for me. I just really want to go to state."
