Leader for Badet

BRADENTON, Fla. - Orlando (Fla.) Freedom two-star wide receiver Jeff Badet is closing in on double-digit offers but says one school stands out the most for his services at this time.
"Right now Louisville is standing out," Badet said.

A big reason why the Cardinals are at the top is due to the recruiting efforts of Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva three-star safety Terrence Ross. The Louisville commitment is a teammate of Badet's on the Central Florida Top Recruits 7-on-7 squad.
"In talking with T-Ross he says you have to visit there and that it is a really nice campus," Badet said. "We might end up taking an official visit there together in September."
There are other reasons why Badet likes the Big East program beyond what he has heard from Ross.
"I like how the coaches are," Badet said. "I feel like I can relate to them. I like Coach (Brian) Jean-Mary from there a lot. I feel like I can relate to him a lot. As T-Ross was saying, the coaches are cool and the campus is beautiful. I just want to visit there and see if it is true."
Louisville isn't the only school in the thick of it with Badet. He mentioned three other schools that have offered as ones he is heavily considering.
"I like Boston College a lot," Badet said. "Also, FIU has recruited me really, really hard. I like them a lot. Western Kentucky is also in there."
At this stage, Badet has no visits scheduled. He is hoping to make a decision in the near future but says that hinges on his ability to check out Louisville or others.
"I would like to decide in either late July or early August, coming into the season," Badet said. "I may wait until my official visits to commit, but we will have to see."
As a junior, Badet had 718 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
