Leader emerges for Colorado athlete

Englewood (Colo.) Cherry Creek athlete Kain Colter has already seen the action for his recruitment pick up. Now, as the junior day circuit begins and the camp schedule nears, Colten has seen one school emerge as a favorite.
"I picked up another offer this weekend," the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Colten said. "Northwestern offered me. I also have offers from Colorado and Colorado State."

Also entering the picture for Colten, 12 months before he will sign with a college, are Cal, Stanford and Georgia Tech.
"Right now, I would say that Stanford is my favorite," he said. "I have a lot of good options in front of me, though. I am going to go to Northwestern's junior day in April and I am going to go to Colorado's too.
"I will go to camps at the Elite 11 at Cal and probably a Steve Clarkson camp and also one of Rob Johnson's camps."
Colten is hoping to find a school to call home before his senior season begins this fall.
"I would like to get my decision done with before I start my senior year. I won't rush it just to get one done, but that would be great if it worked out and I could have a choice made.
"I am looking for a school that can provide me with a good education and one that has a good atmosphere. I also want a school that has a love for the football program and is in a good town."
As a junior, Colten threw for over 1,700 yards and rushed for over 800 yards. He scored a combined 30 touchdowns on the season."
