New Orleans (La.) Landry-Walker defensive lineman George Lea currently holds scholarship offers from the likes of Arizona State, Colorado, Utah, Washington State, Southern Miss, and South Alabama.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound standout has been busy working out most of the summer, and recently attended camp at Texas A&M.
"I had to get out there and perform," Lea said. "I went out there and took the coaching and did the one-on-ones and I think I did very well."
He hopes to also attend camp at Arizona State, and will also likely attend a few more camps in July.
In addition to a camp stop in Tempe, Lea already has plans to take an official visit to see the Sun Devil program.
"Yes, I'm supposed to be taking a visit come December or January," Lea said.
Lea does not have any other visits scheduled at this point and he is not ready to claim any leaders at this point in the recruiting process.
"No, I'm open-minded right now," Lea said.
Lea does not have a definite timetable when it comes to making his decision, but right now believes he will probably make his choice after the 2014 season. He also has two factors high on his list.
"Academics and coaching," Lea said.
Lea plans to major in sports medicine and he is looking for coaches and a college where he feels the most comfortable.
Lea is currently ranked No. 40 among the nation's defensive tackles and No. 33 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Preseason Top 50.
