There are five contenders remaining for four-star Jaquan Yulee. The Chesapeake (Va.) Indian River linebacker says he will choose between Alabama, Florida State, Michigan State, North Carolina and Virginia Tech on June 4.
Yulee is set to commit at his school at 6:30pm at Indian River High School on Thursday June 4. Alabama has been considered the leader for Yulee for some time but he breaks down each of his finalists below.
Alabama- "When Alabama comes calling there is no reason you can deny it," said the 6-foot-1, 239-pound Yulee. "My grandma is supposed to come down with me on May 30th to see how it is. She's been to most of the schools with me. Alabama's defense is good. They play physical and fast. Academically, they are ranked highly and that's a big plus for me."
Florida State- "It took them awhile for them to offer me but at the end of the day I saw how things were going with them," he said. "They got my friend Levonta and he tells me it's a great experience down there. They show a lot of love."
Michigan State- "They had a good season and I've heard their school program has done very well," Yulee said. "They have everything that I need at that school."
North Carolina- "They've been my school since the beginning even though they weren't the first school to offer me," he said. "I've visited there a lot."
Virginia Tech- "That was the first school to offer me a scholarship," said Yulee. "They are still fighting for me."
Yulee left the door open for some official visits down the road.
