LB Woodland will visit MAC school

The recruiting season is beginning to heat up for Silver Spring (Md.) Springbrook outside linebacker Louis Woodland, who has one visit set up and offers from three other programs.
The 6-foot-4, 226-pounder said he plans on taking a visit to Kent State in December or January, but also has offers on the table from James Madison, Cincinnati and Delaware.

Woodland is also seeing a lot of interest from Pittsburgh, Marshall and Temple recently and mentioned they all call every week. Maryland is also pursuing him, but isn’t showing nearly as much interest as the others..
Woodland said he plans to take all five visits and if he sees offers from Pittsburgh, Marshall and Temple, he would definitely take visits to those schools.
“I like the Pitt coaching staff and Marshall is a good program. I want to play for a winner if I can.”
As for his fifth visit, it would probably go to Cincinnati.
Asked about the Pittsburgh coaching situation, he said, “When it comes down to coaching, as long as it is a stable coaching staff for the next four or five years then it’s not that big of a factor. If a coach and a staff were to leave in the middle on me, that would be tough.”
This season the two-star linebacker helped Springbrook to a 4-6 record with 6 1/2 sacks and over 70 tackles.
“I came out this year to prove that I can play linebacker at the next level and I think I answered a lot of questions.”
As for when a decision will be made, Woodland is hoping to make it by the end of January.
"But I could commit anytime as long as I feel comfortable at a school.”
