LB with scholarship offers
Sam Jones is a linebacker prospect from Tampa Bay Tech High School. Jones, 6-0 and 236 pounds, injured his knee two Friday's ago and missed their win this past weekend against Tampa Wharton.
"I was just resting my knee and I will just miss that game," Jones said. "I hurt it the week before but I am okay."

Jones is an underrated linebacker from the Tampa Bay area. Some schools though have found him and he has some offers.
"Marshall, FAMU and Hampton have all offered me. Teams like Western Kentucky and South Alabama are interested in me. I haven't taken any visits yet and will have the season. I know I want to see Western Kentucky, Marshall and South Alabama. I guess they are my favorites.
"I am looking for schools where I can get early playing time. I want to get on the field quickly."
Jones is a versatile linebacker prospect that can play on the inside or outside.
"I can cover but I think it's a weakness that I am really working hard on. My strength as a linebacker is filling the hole, supporting the run and covering gaps."
