LB Williams sold on Northwestern

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic linebacker Nate Williams committed to Northwestern shortly after he visited the Wildcats the weekend of Dec. 2. Almost three weeks later Williams is as sure of his decision as ever.
"You don't get much better than Northwestern," Williams said. "Academics was the main reason (for committing to Northwestern), but it's Chicago and it's the Big Ten. You can't get much better than that."

Williams also had scholarship offers from Illinois, Toledo, and Miami of Ohio.
"It was a pretty easy decision for me," Williams said. "I haven't been getting calls from other schools anymore."
The 6-foot-1 and 220 pound Williams made 88 tackles including six sacks during his senior season. Williams is the No. 33 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania in the Rivals.com player rankings.
