LB Wartman planning trips

Archbald (Pa.) Valley View linebacker Nyeem Wartman has been drawing a lot of headlines lately, and for good reason.
Last fall the 6-foot-3, 200-pound outside linebacker registered 115 tackles (70 solo) to go along with one interception and three fumble recoveries.

He has received offers from Akron, Boston College, NC State, Penn State and Rutgers, and a couple of other schools are showing serious interest.
In the next few weeks Wartman will be visiting NC State and Penn State. He is also hoping to get out to Boston College and Rutgers.
"Recently I've been talking to just about all these schools' linebackers coaches," Wartman said over the weekend. "I've been talking to Georgia Tech, also."
Wartman said Georgia Tech and Michigan State are the two schools that seem closest to offering.
He is hoping to visit Michigan State over the summer, but also added that most of his focus is on the five schools that have already offered.
While Wartman says he did not grow up as a fan of any program in particular, he is somewhat familiar with one school.
"I watched everyone. I watched anything that was good," he said. "Most of the games I saw were Penn State (games). I went to Penn State a couple of times for basketball camp."
