LB wants to break it all down

Jon Bostic is one of the top prospects from South Florida. Bostic, 6-2 and 228 pounds, is from Wellington (Fla.) Palm Beach Central High School. This off-season he has worked hard on getting bigger and faster.
"Spring is going well," Bostic said. "I have gotten faster. I was running an 11.5 (100 meters) and now I am done to 11.0. I have even gotten bigger. I am also run in the 4.5s consistently.

"I am the type of 'backer that loves to blitz. Most people don't think I can move as fast as I do. I can also drop in coverage. Overall, I believe I am a pretty complete linebacker."
According to Bostic he is up to 23 scholarship offers. For now he remains open to the process at the request of his father.
"I am taking in everyone and wide open. I haven't had a chance to really pick out some schools yet with any certainty. My dad wants me to break them all down and see what they have to offer. From there I will narrow things down.
"I am looking at everything and I want to find a school where I feel comfortable with the coaches and players. The atmosphere has to be for me. I am also looking at graduation rates."
Bostic has already visited (unofficially) Florida, LSU, and UCF. His father, Jon Bostic, Sr., played college football at Bethune Cookman and for Kansas City and Detroit in the NFL.
"The main thing with my dad is graduation rates. Are senior graduating? Are the juniors on track to graduate? My father is serious about academics because he used both football and academics to get where he is."
Bostic is planning on visiting Miami, South Carolina and a "few more schools" this summer.
