LB Tongo adds a Pac-10 offer

If Naperville (Ill.) North state ranked inside linebacker prospect Osahon Tongo (6-foot-2, 223 pounds) can bring it during the season like he did on Tuesday night at the Bolingbrook High School Passing 7 on 7 event, look out. Tongo set the tone on Tuesday night from his first play from scrimmage, taking care of business against a would-be receiver brave enough to cross the middle into Tongo's territory. Tongo's play was clean, yet Tongo play also sent a serious message.
"The kid was coming across the middle and I just reacted," Tongo said. "I felt bad for him after the play, but he was fine after a few minutes. It was just a play that I reacted to make."

Tongo also has added his 7th offer late last week from Stanford University.
"I received an email from the Stanford coaches late last week. I called them in their offices and they told me that Stanford was offering me a scholarship. I didn't camp with them this summer but I did make an unofficial visit to Palo Alto earlier. It's exciting to get an offer from Stanford. They have a lot to offer, and I really think that improving my grades in my last semester really helped me in getting an offer from them. My family and I are very excited about this latest offer from Stanford."
Tongo also recently camped at the University of Michigan.
"The Michigan camp was really nice and I felt that I performed pretty well. The Michigan coaches told me after the camp that I definitely improved my stock with them. I camped at Michigan for two days as a part of the full camp at Michigan. I enjoyed getting to know the coaches at Michigan better, plus I had a chance to work with them in camp and I was able to get a lot of reps. Michigan wants me to stay in touch with them this summer and I got the feeling that they will be recruiting me harder."
Tongo is basically finished with the college camp circuit this summer.
"I camped at Northwestern and Michigan this summer and I'm basically done with the college camps. It's time for me to totally focus on my team and getting ready for my senior season."
Tongo also insist that he's in no hurry to make his final college choice.
"I'm really not in any hurry to make my final college choice. I want to take a few official visits before I decide, and I want to make sure that I'm making the best possible decision. I might check out a few college games this fall. I'm still pretty wide open right now and I'm considering everyone who is considering me for their program."
Osahon Tongo currently has scholarship offers from Stanford, Boston College, Indiana, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Northwestern and Illinois.
