LB Stallings is taking official visits

Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith linebacker Rhakeem Stallings took his first official visit a couple weeks back. The three-star prospect is planning on heading out on his second in just over a week.
"I visited James Madison, that was an official a couple weeks ago," he said. "It was a nice place. I had went up there one time before on an unofficial and this time I got to get close to the coaches and the players. I had a great time. They are one of those schools I am considering."

Stallings is set for a trip on October 7th to Western Michigan for his second official.
"I've never been there," he said. "I want to go and see how it is, take that into consideration."
Despite the trips, Stallings maintains no plan is in place to decide soon as he is looking at a decision after the season.
What's his status with other schools?
"I've got the same offers," he said. "Right now I'm trying to focus on high school and not worry about college. I'm trying to worry about academics.
"I do want to make my decision in the next couple months."
On the field, Stallings has helped Oscar Smith rebound from a tough loss to Gilman (Md.) in the season opener.
"That was a tough oppoent," he said. "We all tried to regroup after that and I've been trying to get better at linebacker technique wise. I'm learning how to read and shedding blocks.
"Last year I played in a 3-4 and was coming off the edge. Now we're in a 4-3 and it's giving me a different look, it's a good learning experience. I feel like I'm getting better. I heard I had ten tackles in the past two games each, but I don't care about stats. I'm just going at it day-by-day and game-by-game."
