LB Shazier to visit Ohio State

In the wake of Urban Meyer's departure from Florida, four-star linebacker recruit Ryan Shazier isn't backing out of his commitment to the Gators but he is going to leave at least one other door open.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound linebacker from Plantation heard about the big news during school today.

"I'm shocked. I'm pretty shocked," Shazier said.
"I was in class and my friend was checking Facebook. He saw one of the statuses that was posted and it said coach Meyer was supposed to be stepping down tonight.
"He told me, 'This can't be true,' so I called someone and they said they hadn't heard anything. Then they called me back and said it's true. It was a huge blow."
Shazier, ranked the No. 12 outside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com, said he had just spoken with Meyer and "everything seemed fine," which is one reason why he was so surprised by the news today.
"I'm not de-committing but me and my family are going to talk it over," Shazier said.
"I'm supposed to be taking an official to Ohio State on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. I set it up today. They came to visit Jeremy (Cash) and I set it up with them."
Shazier said he turned his phone off today so he isn't sure which other schools have tried to contact him yet.
