Semisi Saluni had an excellent weekend visit to Oregon State. And soon the Walnut Creek (Calif.) Northgate linebacker will be ready to make his commitment.

With offers from the Beavers and from Wyoming, Oregon State has to like its chances.

“The Oregon State visit was great,” Saluni said. “The people around there and the coaching staff made me feel welcome. I enjoyed my weekend over there.”

There were specifically two things that the Northern California standout enjoyed about his time in Corvallis: The coaching staff - and how they envision using him in the defense.

For Saluni, it might be a perfect fit. He’ll get to play Pac-12 football and he’s going to thoroughly enjoy being around the people at Oregon State.

At least he did during his official visit over the last few days and it could help move his decision along even quicker.

“Coaches were telling me that I’ll be a prefect fit for the defense and that even as a person they really liked how I stood out to them,” Saluni said. “The coaching staff is great and I have respect for them all.”

The Walnut Creek Northgate linebacker said he is done with visits and a decision could be coming soon. Saluni is still planning to take a Mormon mission after high school.
