LB Says Big Ten School Leads The Way

"I'll miss my first game this weekend," Jim Davenport said last night from his mother's in Baltimore. "I'll be back and play in the second game. I've been to Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan, Pitt, and Bowling Green this summer. I know I'll be going to Ohio State on a regular basis for games and stuff. I'm looking at Ohio State, Michigan, Miami, and Pitt. Michigan use to be my favorite. At first I didn't like Ohio State that much. But since I've been down there now I like Ohio State best. I'm going to try to go to all their home games and maybe make some away games."
Davenport (6'4 225 4.7) has been a varsity starter since his freshman year. He did not have quite the junior season as was expected, but Davenport is very talented. If he steps things back up this year and takes care of things academically his name should definitely be kept in mind.
