Demarcus Scott made the first of
back-to-back official visits to his co-leaders this weekend.
"I just got back in from LSU," he said. "Everything was
real tight. Real tight. I liked being around the players most of all. I fit in
real good with them. Lionel Turner was my host. He's a linebacker like me, so we
had a lot of good stuff to talk about. We hung out and had a lot of fun, too.
"I think I'm pretty close to a commitment, but I need to
make this other visit to Tennessee first. It's down to those two for sure, but
they'd have to show me a lot to beat out LSU at this point."
Scott (6-1, 246, 4.7) is a member of the Rivals.com
Mississippi Top 30 team and the
No. 29 inside linebacker in the nation. He capped his senior year at
Greenville-Weston with another season of 100-plus tackles. He also recorded one
sack and two interceptions. As a junior, Scott had 104 tackles, eight sacks and
two interceptions.
