LB ready to be a Cyclone

Neptune Beach (Fla.) Fletcher two-star weakside defensive end Josh Mitchell was scheduled to take an official visit to Southern Miss this weekend, but with the Eagles preparing for a bowl game the visit got changed to January. But in the end, it might not be a visit he even makes.
“I fell in love with Iowa State last weekend,” Mitchell, who is 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, said. “I didn’t commit last weekend, but I fell in love with it. I really liked it a lot. The campus was nice, and they told me that I could come in early and get some playing time. That’s always a plus.”

Iowa State’s coaches also impressed.
“They told me their strength coach was named national coach of the year, so I know that I could learn a lot from him,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell said he could “possibly” commit at any point now, but if he doesn’t he’s set to visit South Florida on January 9 and then Georgia Tech and Southern Miss in January.
