LB Poly DB pulls the trigger

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) will see their entire defensive secondary move on to the next level. Safeties Herman Davidson and Vaughn Telemaque get most of the headlines but both starting corners will sign on Signing Day as well including Jeff Johnson.
We've have a chance to see Johnson in action several times over the last couple of years, both in pads and at numerous 7 on 7 passing tournaments. He's a two year starter and brings a lot of speed and excellent cover skills to the table.

At 5-9, 160 pounds, Johnson isn't the big guy on the field but he's a tough, physical player who can hit and really excells in press coverage.
"He just committed to Sacramento State today," Poly DB coach Doc Moye said. "He tripped there this past weekend and really liked it so he decided to commit. He's still going to visit Idaho State next weekend (Jan. 18) and they offered too but he's a solid commit and happy to be going to Sac State."
Fellow Jackrabbit DB Sheldon Armstrong will be visiting Utah State this weekend and rounds out an impressive secondary that may have been the best in the state this year.
