LB Poly center making the grade

One player who has consistently performed well at the combines and now during games is Long Beach (Calif.) Poly offensive center Hercules Satele (6-4, 255, 4.9). Satele and his Poly teammates are licking their wounds and regrouping after last Saturday’s loss to Concord (Calif.) De la Salle.
Poly was victim number 130 in De la Salle’s miraculous streak.

Satele is a rare three-year starter for the Jackrabbits and he has played all five offensive line positions, but he has settled in at offensive center his senior season.
Satele is has tremendous upsides. He has terrific desire, great quickness off the ball and as a center that is an added plus. Satele really gets after it and finishes off his blocks.
Rivals100 first caught a glimpse of Satele at the Nike camps held at USC and Stanford. He had the competitive fire that is so important to be successful on the gridiron. He just kept pounding away against some of California’s best and more than held his own.
So far this season Satele is grading out on 92% of his blocks, combine that lofty percentage and the fact he is doing it as center makes him even more valuable.
What is Satele looking for is a college?
“I’m looking to go to a college with good academics, a solid football program and a nice college environment,” Satele said.
Satele has two offers on the table from ASU and Portland State. He is getting calls from Fresno State, Washington State, Oregon, USC, UCLA, ASU and more.
Satele lists Oregon, USC, Washington, UCLA and ASU as his top schools.
Satele and his Poly teammates will start the very tough Moore league play this Friday evening against Long Beach (Calif.) Milligan.
