LB Plonski talks Penn State visit

Jake Plonski has had a strong senior season at Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep and he might be moving closer to an offer from Penn State.
That offer hasn't come yet but on Saturday the Nittany Lion coaches were happy to see the 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect in town for their game against the Buckeyes.

"I thought it was a very good game. The atmosphere was crazy. They played very good," Plonski said.
"I talked to coach (Stan) Hixon briefly before the game and he just said I looked good on film this year. He asked us how we did on Friday night."
Penn State is being very careful with the offers they extend and apparently they want to do a little more homework on Plonski before they put one out there for him.
He sure hopes that happens. Plonski couldn't feel any more comfortable with the school and the coaches.
"I feel very comfortable there. I'm very much interested," he said. "I've been there a couple of times and I feel good there. I just really like the feel and the overall atmosphere."
Duke, Washington State and Ohio are also recruiting Plonski, though none of those schools has offered either.
So far this year Plonski has 58 tackles and three sacks.
He also said he doesn't have a favorite yet.
