LB McCoy takes surprise visit

Washington (D.C.) St. John's College linebacker Rico McCoy thought he was done with his official visits and was going to choose between Ohio State and Tennessee at the U.S. Army All American Bowl on Jan. 15. However, he decided that one more trip couldn't hurt.
"I went to Syracuse this weekend on an official visit and to hang out with my brother (Syracuse player Reggie)," said the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder. "It was my last visit and more of a social trip, but I had a good time."

Did the visit change his leader board at all?
"Nah," he said. "It's still down to Tennessee and Ohio State. Syracuse was cool, but not for me. I'll choose between OSU and Tennessee during the game. I'll probably know where I'm going for sure in early January."
Is there a leader between the two?
"No, no leader," he said. "They're neck and neck. I'm cool with Andre Mathis and he committed to Tennessee, but I know a lot of the players at Ohio State from my visit. It's going to be tough."
McCoy also took an official visit to Pitt. He is ranked as the No. 96 player in the country and No. 8 at outside linebacker.
