LB Makes The Call To FSU

Summit (Miss.) Southwest Mississippi C.C. linebacker Chad Mascoe was considering an official visit to South Carolina because FSU wasn't showing him the love. Apparently that's not a problem anymore.
"Chad signed out of high school with FSU and thought about some other trips, but I'm pretty sure he's re-affirmed to FSU he's coming," said the Southwest Mississippi defensive backs coach Charlie Anthony . "He's always wanted to go there."

Mascoe was placed at Southwest Mississippi by FSU after he didn't qualify out of Osceola High School in Kissimmee, Fla. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder was thinking about other trips, but has been re-assurred he'll be playing linebacker at FSU.
"I don't want to be a defensive end," Mascoe told us weeks ago. "FSU doesn't play big linebackers, but they've told me that I can get a chance at linebacker."
