LB Makes The Call
Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County linebacker Patrick Lowery knew what he was going to do if he got the offer he wanted.
"I committed to NC State this weekend," said the 6-foot-2, 227-pounder. "They offered me on the visit and I committed before I left. They're the school I wanted to attend for football and because they have my major."

Lowery will major in Turf Management at NC State and will play either outside or inside linebacker.
"They didn't really say which position I would play," he said. "But they do need linebackers for next season so I might be able to step in and play early. Either way, NC State was my top choice all along."
Lowery had just been offered by North Carolina right before he took off on his visit and Virginia had set an official visit date as well. He also had offers from East Carolina and Duke and serious interest from Virginia Tech.
