LB Makes Big Ten Commitment

"I committed to Illinois," three star linebacker Brandon Archer said moments ago.
"Illinois has the total package. They have what I want to study. The football team is in the improving stage. And the coaching staff is great."
"I'll play linebacker or possibly strong safety."

Archer, who narrowed things down to the Illini and North Carolina, also made an official visit to Iowa. He said he will cancel his January visit to Minnesota. All four schools offered the 6-foot-2 and 220 pounder a scholarship.
Archer made 85 tackles for St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Durham.
