LB Mack makes his choice

Miami (Fla.) Dade Christian linebacker Daniel Mack took his second and final official visit this past weekend to Wake Forest. The 6-foot-0, 196-pounder has made his decision between the Demon Deacons, Boston College and Liberty. Who did he choose?
"I committed to Wake Forest and am proud to be a Demon Deacon," said Mack. "It had everything I was looking for. I wanted academics, a good coaching staff and good players, players who I felt comfortable with. At Wake Forest, everyone knows everyone so it's like a big family. That really made a difference to me."

Mack, who also had offers from programs like Clemson, West Virginia, Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina and others, felt at home right away.
"There are a lot of Florida players on the roster," he said. "That wasn't a huge deal for me to be honest, but it certainly didn't hurt. You can talk about similar things, you can go back and forth from home together, it just makes you feel closer to everyone."
Mack has heard Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe's name come up for numerous job openings over the last year or so, but he's not concerned.
"Coach Grobe was a big part of my decision as were all the coaches, but I chose Wake Forest for the whole package," he said. "I don't think coach Grobe is going anywhere, but even if he did I'd still go to Wake Forest. I am excited and relieved that the decision has been made and the process is over."
