LB Lucas has a plan

Linebacker Dillon Lucas out of Medford (N.J.) Shawnee is sitting on three offers. The 6-foot-2, 204-pounder is holding out hope of a Penn State scholarship, but has a plan in place if it doesn't pan out.
"I've just been getting a lot of letters from a few new schools," he said. "NC State has been talking a lot to me along with Pittsburgh for awhile. I'm also hearing from Rutgers, West Virginia and Temple.

"They are all just saying they'll keep in touch and are still learning more about me. Most of them are telling me to come up and visit so I can get a look at the school."
The latest visit for the two-star prospect was a trip to Penn State nearly a month ago.
"I went to Penn State on June 25th and 26th," he said. "They let me know that I'll find out about an offer by early August or at the latest, the beginning of September."
Currently Lucas holds offers from Duke, Buffalo and Villanova.
"They all are saying they want me to come down to campus too," he said. "Duke and Villanova are talking about how they are really excited for me to be part of their teams. I'd say if Penn State doesn't offer, Duke and Villanova are my leaders.
"I really like the way the campus was at Duke, it's got a very nice feel and I got a great energy from the coaches. I connected very well with Duke. As for Villanova, it's a great offer from another prestigious school. Overall I think Duke is probably No. 1 based on how nice everything was."
Meanwhile, what's the plan on a decision?
"If Penn State offers I'll probably wait two weeks, otherwise it could be at the earliest September or I may wait until after the football season."
