Favorite schools: Vasquez's top three consists of Michigan State, Boston College and Purdue. He is also interested in UConn and Syracuse.
Skinny: Vasquez is a mobile, hard-hitting inside linebacker and turned heads last year with a great junior season. He has three favorites and is considering a couple of others.
"Michigan State, Boston College and Purdue are the schools I would consider my leaders," said Vasquez. "They just offer so much academically, and I'm drawn to that. They also field strong teams year in and year out. The facilities are nice at each school.
"I've already been to Michigan State and BC. Michigan State has a new Smith Center coming up. It's an academic facility donated by (former MSU hoops star) Steve Smith and it's really nice. I got to see how that's going. Boston College is very nice too. I'm attracted to their academics a lot."
Vasquez has not visited Purdue yet, and they aren't in his summer plans yet either.
"I plan on camping at Boston College, UConn, Syracuse and Michigan State," said Vasquez. "Our team is probably going to start practice early so I'm not sure how much time I'll have. I don't have any other visits scheduled yet, but I'm sure I'll take a few in July or August."
Vasquez is also considering UConn and Syracuse, and both have shown interest in him. He has received a scholarship from Purdue thus far.
