LB Lewis ready to check out UVa

New Jersey linebacker Kaiwan Lewis is still sorting through all of his offers but he'll be narrowing his focus to one school soon, at least for the weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 227-pound Hammonton (N.J.) St. Joseph linebacker will be taking a trip to Virginia this weekend.

The Cavaliers offered Lewis a scholarship a while back and have continued to express interest since that time. Lewis is anxious to find out what they're all about.
"I love the coaches," Lewis said of Mike London and his staff in Charlottesville. "They all recruit me and write me personal letters and let me know they really want me.
"I believe that program will definitely be on top of its game real soon."
Nearly 20 schools have offered scholarships to Lewis, with the most recent being Vanderbilt.
He doesn't know a whole lot about the Commodores quite yet but they've already made a bit of an impression.
"Coach Beatty told me I had an offer," he recalled. "I like them. They're a great school when it comes to the classroom and a program that could be on the rise as far as football."
Lewis said he doesn't have any trips planned after his visit to Virginia this weekend.
