Kaiwan Lewis already has an offer list that most recruits would love to have and that list continues to grow larger by the week.
The 6-foot-2, 227-pound linebacker from Hammonton (N.J.) St. Joseph claimed an offer from Auburn on Friday evening.
"I just got an offer from Auburn coach (Ted) Roof," Lewis said.
"He asked how I was doing in school and with football workouts. He asked when I'm coming to visit. Then he told me he's coming to my school in May and Auburn wants me and needs me. He said he saw my film twice and that I have a scholarship to Auburn. He told me to keep thinking about Auburn."
Anytime the defending national champions express interest an offer you have to pay attention. The Tigers certainly seem to have Lewis' attention.
"I think it's a great school with a lot of tradition," Lewis said. "They have a great coach in coach Chiz (Gene Chizik) and they also have a great class coming in, so they should be producing more winning seasons. Also, they're the national champs so I was surprised about it but I'm happy. I just have to get down there to see it."
Lewis hasn't set plans to visit Auburn yet.
The last trip he took was to Virginia for the Cavaliers' Spring Game, a trip that went very well.
