LB Jeske makes a verbal commitment

Joliet, Ill. three star ranked inside linebacker prospect Chris Jeske (6-foot-1, 225 pounds) won his 3rd state title last weekend, but Jeske tonight seemed just as excited as he gave Northwestern University his verbal commitment after his weekend official visit in Evanston.
“I had a great official visit to Northwestern over the weekend," Jeske said. “I really was able to get some questions answered on my visit, and I decided to give Northwestern my verbal commitment today."

Jeske talked about his visit as well as why he picked the Wildcats.
"I really just get along very well with all of the coaches, including linebackers coach Pat Fitzgerald. The academics are great as well, but I wanted to make sure that I liked the players and got along with them well. I definitely like the players and my player host for the weekend was Tim McGarigle and we are two Catholic school guys who have a lot in common. I've been to Northwestern many times before, so I was really familiar with the facilities and the campus already. What clinched it for me was my overall visit this weekend. I just felt at ease and at home with the Wildcats."
"It feels really good to have my recruiting over with and it feels especially good to be heading to Evanston next year. My family is also really excited about me getting an education from Northwestern as well. I've been feeling like Northwestern was the team to beat for awhile now. I was also giving both Colorado State and UCLA serious consideration, but in the end I went with my gut."
"I'm a solid verbal commit to Northwestern."
