LB Hayes ready for Rutgers
Bayonne, N.J. outside linebacker Jerome Hayes will be visiting familiar territory this weekend at Rutgers.
“They’ve been involved since day one,” Hayes said. “I’m looking forward to the visit and seeing more of them. I don’t really have a leader. I’m taking my time and I want to take all my visits.”

Hayes has already visited Florida and still has trips to Michigan State (Dec. 10) and Miami (Dec. 17). The 13th-best outside linebacker in the country, Hayes has plenty of people coming to see him.
“I’ve had Nebraska, Michigan and Maryland come by,” Hayes said. “I’m got some more next week, but I’m still lining that up.”
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound prospect said he will probably take a fifth visit. Candidates include Virginia Tech, Tennessee and Michigan.
“I’m not sure who that will be,” Hayes said. “I want to be sure and take the visits to see the schools.”
