Linebacker/running back Jerome Hayes is one of the top prospects in the region and has offers from all the schools he's considering. Is he beginning to narrow things down?
"Not really," said Hayes. "I'm looking at Florida, Miami, Rutgers, Michigan State, Tennessee, Nebraska, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Louisville. They're all about even right now and not too much is new on the recruiting front. Right now I'm just open to everything that those schools are saying. That list could change at any time too."
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound prospect from Bayonne, N.J. is close to setting the date for another official visit. He took an official visit to Florida last weekend, on Dec. 10 he'll go to Michigan State and then the following week he'll be in Miami.

"That Florida visit was really good," he said. "I learned a lot. I'm pretty sure I'll be going on an official visit to Rutgers sometime, but I'm not exactly sure of the date at the moment."
On the year Hayes has led Bayonne to a 3-2 record. He's rushed for 596 yards and nine scores and on defense he's recorded 55 tackles.
