LB Hall takes first official visit

Linebacker Vince Hall of Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, Va., loved his official visit to Virginia Tech this past weekend, but not enough to do anything rash.
He’s still taking his time when it comes to recruiting.

“I loved the atmosphere and I loved the social life. I saw it all this weekend,” Hall, a 6-foot-1, 230-pounder, said.
“But, I’m still wide open.”
Coach Frank Beamer and Co. made their case for Hall this weekend, and a strong one at that. Now, North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and N.C. State will get their chances, though no other trips are set up at this time. Hall was scheduled to visit Penn State this upcoming weekend, but those plans were nixed by Western Branch’s appearance in the state semifinals this weekend.
Hall will take all his visits before deciding. At this time, he can’t name a leader.
“I can’t really point to a favorite after just one visit,” he said.
Hall said staying in Virginia for college is not a priority.
“That’s really not a factor,” Hall said.
Hall is rated by Rivals.com as a four-star prospect and as the No. 12 inside linebacker nationally. He’s also ranked as the fourth-best prospect in Virginia, regardless of position.
