LB Green touting double digit offers

North Chicago (Ill.) junior outside linebacker prospect Kevin Green (6-foot-2, 213 pounds) has added three additional scholarship offers over the last week, bringing Green's total amount of offers in double digit territory.
"Late last week I received offers from both Western Michigan and Duke," Green said. "Then on Sunday night, I received a call from the coaches at Akron, and Akron has offered me a scholarship. I have 10 offers right now, and it feels great to have double digit offers now."
Green talked about landing his latest offers from the Zips, Broncos and Blue Devils.
"I don't know much about Akron except that they play in the MAC conference. I really enjoyed talking with the Akron coaches on Sunday night and they seemed like good guys. I'll definitely check out what Akron has to offer."
"Western Michigan is a school that I'm familiar with since one of my old teammates (CJ Wilson) plays for Western Michigan. I've heard that they have a great campus and great facilities. It's good to get an offer from a school that has one of my friends playing for, because I know CJ really likes it at WMU and I can talk to him about the school and I can get a straight answer."
"I think of Hoops when I think of Duke, but the coaches really are trying to boost up it's football program. Duke offers a great education and the coaches want me to help them build up the program. My older brother wants me to take an official visit to Duke just so he can go with and see a basketball game in person at Duke. He's a huge Duke basketball fan and I guess he figured that he can just tag along for the game. I told my brother that I'm still along way from even thinking about official visits."
Green has also been drawing more in school visitors. He definitely cracks me up."
Green, despite having 10 scholarship offers is still looking at two early favorites.
"I would call both Purdue and Iowa as my early favorites. I'm still looking at everyone who's offered me and I'm also in no hurry to make a final college choice. Both Purdue and Iowa just seem to stand out right now above the others."
Green is also looking at a very busy summer.
"I'm going to sit down this week and look hard at my schedule this summer. I want to go to at least 7-10 one day camps this summer."
Kevin Green currently has scholarship offers from Akron, Western Michigan, Duke, Kansas, Navy, Ball State, Toledo, Purdue, Minnesota and Bowling Green State.
