LB Green playing the waiting game

North Chicago, Ill., linebacker Kevin Green has plenty of scholarship offers on the table. But he is not close to selecting a college.
"I have 16 offers now," Green said. "About eight to ten of them are in writing.
"My options are really open right now. I'm basically considering anybody from anywhere. I'm just weighing my options. I want to see who comes at me."

Asked to name some of the schools that have offered, Green said, "Minnesota, Iowa, Boston College, Duke, Western Michigan, Purdue, Indiana, Northwestern, schools like that.
"I've talked to most of them on the phone this month.
"I have official visits set up to Purdue when they play Iowa and Iowa when they play Michigan.
"I don't have anybody else ready to set up right now.
"I went to the Northwestern-Northern Illinois game. It was nice. It was a good game all the way to the end."
The 6-foot-2 and 213-pound Green is the No. 8 prospect in the state of Illinois in the Rivals.com player rankings. Green registered 13 sacks during his junior season.
