LB going to Big Red

Overland Park (Kan.) St. Thomas Aquinas linebacker Lance Brandenburgh appears ready to make a decision – but it’s going to have to wait at least a little longer.
“Trust me, I’ll give you a call in a week with some news,” Brandenburgh, who is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound inside linebacker/athlete.

“I promise, you’ll have something very exciting to report here in a week.”
That something is likely a commitment.
A commitment to who? He’s likely to make one to Nebraska, unless something drastic changes over the next few days. Brandenburgh said he’s still on cloud nine after returning from the Nebraska summer camp.
Brandenburgh said he gave everything about the visit to Lincoln high marks – the coaches, the facilities, the opportunity to see action soon – were all things that he identified as being positive.
Brandenburgh said he returned from Nebraska with a ton of Husker gear, giving NU fans a big hint that he’s likely to pick them over UCLA, Colorado and Kansas when it does come time to make a decision.
"I got a bunch of red shirts," he said. "They're still on."
Brandenburgh is one of the better players in the Kansas City metro area and one of the better linebacker prospects in the Midlands Region.
If Brandenburgh does pick NU, it would be the Huskers’ second pledge from a KC linebacker. On Wednesday, NU landed Oak Park linebacker Michael Keenan.
