LB gets call from new coach

Let the games begin. The recruitment of Grandview, Mo., linebacker Wayne Chambers could get very interesting over the next few months. Or could it?
"I'm still committed to Oklahoma," Chambers, who is 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, said.

"In fact, I'm doing the Oklahoma workout. I'm just sticking to what is best for me. And right now that is Oklahoma."
But, Chambers did say he got a call on Wednesday night from new Kansas coach Mark Mangino.
"You never want to burn a bridge, but I told him that I don't want to show bad character," Chambers said about his commitment to the Sooners.
"He said he'll call me back next week when he gets more established. It was good to hear from him since he was the guy that recruited me to OU."
So is he still solid on OU?
"I am," Chambers said. "I think coach Venables is supposed to be coming by later this weekend."
Chambers is set to visit OU on Dec. 14. Chambers coach is a Kansas graduate and one of his closest friends is on the Kansas football roster.
