LB Favors Two

Therell, Ga. linebacker Michael Avery has a small school offer from Iowa-Weslyan. Though Michael is pleased with his first scholarship offer he hopes some of the big schools come calling once the season starts.
Avery lists Alabama, Auburn Miami, NC State, and Mississippi State as his top five. Michael grew up cheering for the Miami Hurricanes, but are they his favorite?

"I have always liked Miami because of Ray Lewis, he is my all-time favorite player,” said the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder who could also be a safety in college. “They always have a great coach and compete for a national title. They’re not my favorite, but I really like them."
So who is his favorite?
"I would say it's dead even with Alabama and Auburn. I like them both equally. I went to camp at Auburn and loved it and I was supposed to go to Alabama, but something happened and I didn't get to go to their camp, but I will go over there and visit."
Avery likes the Tigers and Crimson Tide for the same reasons.
"I like Auburn's linebackers. They are always really good and I like the style of defense they play. They play in a big time conference and I like the atmosphere over there too. I learned a lot at their camp and their coaches seemed to like me."
"I like Alabama's tradition and their fast style of defense. It's obvious that Coach Fran is a great coach and that he will lead them back to the top. They play in the SEC and it is the best conference, at least in my opinion."
Avery also hopes to take official visits to Miami, NC State and Mississippi State if he is invited. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, bench presses 305 pounds and squats 415.
